As you might have noticed, we at BigFourZa have kind of taken this season review thing more seriously, and at the same time have decided to educate people attending management examinations in its unique inimitable ways. Today we look at the extent to which the following games affected Liverpool’s bleddy season and continued to haunt us till the very end.
Liverpool started the season like a 100m hurdle event, stumbling at the very first jump. In what looks like a fitting start to this season in retrospect, Spurs and Villains proved to be too high a barrier at the earlier stages. We should have heeded the early warning, instead of despondently waiting on our injured summer buying. One might argue Stevie G should have been pulled back into midfield much earlier. That and many other ifs and buts – Story of the Season eh!
The 4-0s and 6-1s at Burnley, Stoke and Hull were some of our out of form games this season, when we looked like picking up last year’s momentum into this year. Looking back at those games I can’t help but believe that the potential is still out there somewhere beneath all the abyss, locked in a case of adamantium and guarded by two gaint utterly ferocious men in funny towels.
Then came the Viola. Victory against the lowly Debreceni not withstanding, the men in purple ruined our champions league dream by serving us royally.
At this juncture, I feel we focussed too hard on those leading the pack and completely missed our rear view mirror. Promises were made and never kept. G&H were laughing their behinds off, Aquilani was still wrapped in plaster and Rafa should have just gone for the hair-dryer.
Injury season next. More grief coming your way.
Oh and Maureenya has won the Champions league. Yeah, yeah we get it “the special one” and other similar narcissistic fundas. Ask him to win the same with us.

I would rather have him to win the league but he is a Madridsta now
Hah I’m literally the only comment to your awesome post?
