Quite a pleasing show this game. Unlike the game with the mancs, there was clear intent and more ambition rather than desperation when having possession and trying to break them down.

And let me bring to your attention that curious little captains armband celebration, the saga round him has only enhanced his credibility and character as a captain and England is the real looser here, cause I firmly feel they caved into the media manufactured pressure. I mean look at his replacements Rio and Stevie G… one’s a druggie and the other a brawler.

I may not agree with everything Matty says, but note that he says Captain and not person here.
To play at the level he did in the game against Stoke regardless of everything that is going on around him is not something you will see many footballers doing.

Poor Zola, spent all his Chelsea life playing football. He should have been informed there is a lot more to be done before one becomes a football legend at the Bridge.
