What is the Perfect remedy for a Liverpool team that has lost against a team like Sunderland, by a goal scored by Beach B? Simple. Put them against the Mancs.

In recent years, the end of October meant Liverpool were top of the table and by some series of ill-fated events they start sliding towards the wrong side and find themselves in troubled waters. Yeah Scouse boom-bust cycle or whatever. Now I tell you its the other way around.
Anyways no arguments this time (wait where there any last time?). Liverpool won it clean and square. The scoreline justified it. The Team is Vindicated. And as a fool to think that might even happen, Rafa won’t be sacked. As I predicted Liverpool scored two goals and once Torres was named in the team sheet, well against United he just had to score one. Anyways the writing was there on the wall for many reasons.
Liverpool suffered losses mainly due to lack of inspiration from midfield. And United didn’t have the greatest midfield presence either. Lucas + Mascherano is better than Scholes + Carrick. Hargreaves or Fletcher could have been interesting. Anyways for all you Lucas bashers, heres the lad giving a splendid performance. As I said earlier Lucas is not a guy who makes inspirational incisive passes. He just gives the ball to the guy who makes inspirational incisive passes.
Benayoun was inspirational and incisive. That’s why he was at the start of every Liverpool attack. His partnership with the industrious Kuyt was amazingly hard for the United defence who were left most of their time holding their breath. These are without doubt Liverpool’s playmakers and they will play a big part in the team’s fortunes. On the other hand Giggs and Valencia were silent for most of the time just like their team mates. So it was more or less a matter of time.
Fabio is Fabulous. For those who find Rafa’s deployment of the fullback in the wings critical, this is the answer. Aurelio is too good to be in the defense. But I still prefer a more natural winger. What is more fascinating is Aurelio has a sharp freekick delivery when he takes it from the right side of the pitch. He usually puts it behind the net, but a good save by Der Sar denied him. His Corners are not bad as well. United lacked a free kick taker and that’s where they miss Ronaldo. They need someone badly to get it on target at least.
Liverpool’s defence were sharp. United struggled even to get a shot on goal as the Liverpool defender worked extra time to put a block in place. Carra and Agger were magnificent. Pity that Carra was bought down in the end:P. Glen Johnson and Insua were good defensively. There was not much going forward, but then with the attackers doing their job the defenders could just sit back and enjoy the piece of action. Defence is the only position where United could match Liverpool, but then they had a torrid time yesterday. Torres ensured the carnival at Rio.
And as Rafa puts it 80% of Torres was better than Rooney and Berbatov. Delightful goal by El Nino. Through-ball, Torres holds Rio, Torres pushes the ball forward, takes a look and BANG. I have watched it some 20-30 times already. Am going to watch it again now.
So we’re back in the league. We Just need to win against Lyon, Debrecen and score 8-0 against Fiorentina to be back in CL.

Defence is the only position where United could match Liverpool
Pffff…. If not for Torres and Gerrard, you don’t have a team…
Lucas + Mascherano is better than Scholes + Carrick
LOL… Lucas is not even half the player that Carrick is(when he is on form which he clearly is not now)… You can’t compare Mascha to Carrick either… Carrick is more of a deep lying playmaker in the mould of Pirlo while Mascha is a hard tackling CDM like Fletch… As you rightly pointed out Scholes + Fletch would’ve made the competition interesting… That said, i think that SAF made a mistake in starting Carrick with the form he is in this season.. Ando should’ve started….
P.S: Scholes + A Snickers Wrapper is a better midfield than Lucas + Lucas
one point there..insua was murdered by valencia btw so him looking defensively sharp is perhaps something we will never see in our lifetime….:p
Insua “murdered” by Valencia ???? wait he had one shot on goal which was good ok, but murdered!!!! obviously says u have not watched him play until yesterday. he has been sharp this season, maybe u ll never see that in UR lifetime.
@ venky : say what u want man. with the same setup we won 4-1 and now 2-0. thats the proof of it….I agree Scholes is the best of the lot. In VOLLEYBALL.
particularly in the first half valencia was found a lot of space on the right hand side i mean that is certainly not defensively sharp. and yes i dont watch pool play as much as say you do but i dont think it would take a genius to note that Insua is not upto standards. Whenever i ve seen him (against Spurs, Chelsea, United) he has performed pretty poorly offering a lot of space behind letting the opponents wingers.
I can even see vorrinator the urinator play well but surely not Insua.
P.S: the above is considering even a player like Nyron Nowsworthy is entitled to one blinder every now and then
mate, all I can say is Insua is good. He has even earned his place at the argentine squad . Now don’t come back at me abt maradona
And how dare u foul mouth Voronin.
Scholes @ 28 >>> Divie G. Period…. He’s hailed as the finest midfielder of his generation by legents such as Zizou, Nedved, Lippi and the lot.. Who the fook are you?
yeah and Eric Djemba Djemba @ 3 >>>>> Torres
Meh..Your creativity astounds me…
I agree Lucas was adequate and turned in a good performance. Torres is simply the best striker in europe technically better than anyone in the EPL . Pool just seem to get it right against manu offlate.. its turning into Jayasuriya against India sort of contests
League wide open
Nd i was impressed wid insua in the carling cup yest he can def claim liv first team berths on the back of perf like tat
