The month of August has been kind to us Blues. Here we give you 12 reasons why we are smiling
1. Chelsea have 12 points out of 12. What more can you ask for ?
2. Drogba looks menacing (bad times ahead for defenders)
3. Drogba-Anelka partnership looks good (more bad times ahead for defenders)
4. Adebayor went to Man City…phew, he had me nervous for a while there
5. Terry showed the finger to Man City
6. Arsenal shave off a couple of years from their average age, and open their own goal account for the season
7. Tottenham find themselves at the wrong end of the table
8. United lose to Burnley
9. Liverpool
10. Real Madrid
11. Barca give 38m quid and Eto’o for a di*k who is yet to score in CL knockout stages
And just when I was thinking what else to put…
12. Fisichella finishes 2nd for Force India at Belgium !!!

u forgot “shevchenko is leaving”.
Dei, that is reason for US to smile. Chelshit just made a 32m loss
we know the keyrock he would write a post titled quantum of solace highlightiNG his joy at his departure.in that he will say atleast now the sheva bashers would be quiet.
vishwa,
why do u keep forgetting u have Berba dude. or maybe u forgot u had Berba. damn, how did i miss this one…united still having berba should definitely have been on my list.
atleast sheva gave his all whenever he put on the Chelsea shirt
This will make it a baker’s dozen
13. Ab’i am a bitch’ has requested Platini to introduce financial regulations for clubs.. LOL.. Seems like he has gotten tired of pumping his dirty money into the club.. My my, are we gonna see a meltdown of leeds proportion…
Yeah right, United pump holy money into their divine club
Just look at ur recent splurging out on transfers and then talk.
20m on bloody 17 yr olds from serbia, 20m on Anderson and Nani each, who after 2 yrs still cannot hold down a first team place. 30m on a useless striker who’s not even interested in kicking the ball properly while taking a penalty…the list goes on
Chelsea on the other hand have hardly spent more than 15-18m on transfers for the past 3 seasons, and infact generated more than that from selling. Sunderland has spent more than we have.
keyrock,
since when are you advocating the clubs shouldn spend peace policy?if i start counting the amount which chelsea spent on tiago, maniche, duff, shevchenko, wright phillips etc and the compensation settlements for their managers in the last three years.it might give you one more reason to be ashamed of ur club.
And berba is still in man utd and his very much kicking.wait for one more season.cos ur roman god drogba had a much worse first season.so please shut it.
@ Keyrock..
You crack me up.. As Harish points out, you’ve spent more in compensation packages for your managers that we have on our players…
20m on bloody 17 yr olds from serbia
The amount was around 17m for them both.. And it is called an investment…
20m on Anderson and Nani each
Nani’s was around 15m rising to 17m with add ons which i’m sure that we didn’t have to pay…. Anderson was 18m…. They are both young and had to compete for 3 midfield spots with 8 players competing for them… They’re brought as long term replacements to Scholes and giggs.. Not to set the world on fire immediately… Btw they’ve helped UNITED WIN 2 TITLES and CHAMPIONS LEAGUE… What the feck have your 15-18 transfers achieved?
Berba’s been here for only one season and its way too early to pass judgement on him…
And honestly speaking mate, you have no right to talk about other clubs spending money.. Its because of an abomination called ab’i am a’bitch that the entire transfer market became inflated… so when it comes to tranfer spending stfu…
the same platini has some brain dude.one day he might just come up with a resolution to limit the amount spent on managers.so warn “the bitch” b4 getting gay with that wily french man.
Venky,
So if United spends `17m on youngsters its an investment, but if Chelsea pays, they inflate the market…eh? Hypocrite
And if Nani/Anderson had come to replace Giggs/Scholes, why the fuck have they not been able to even after 2 full seasons. Or is it that Fergie would rather trust 36 yr olds than such flops. mancs will never admit it, but they are FLOPS, huge FLOPS. And btw…united did not win PL and CL because of Nani/Anderson… u must know better
And talking of Chelsea, their signings helped them lift 2 PL titles too… not much of an achievement that ?
Bottomline – Yes, Chelsea have spent on transfers IN THE PAST, but don’t tell me united haven’t and they still continue to. as always, the hypocrite mancs will disagree.
So if United spends `17m on youngsters its an investment, but if Chelsea pays, they inflate the market
WHAT are you babbling about?.. The issue was who spashes out insane amounts of cash in the transfer market.. Would you like me to provide stats that chelsea has been the highest spender this decade? And when was the last time you splashed money on a youngster? You buy expensive talent or expensive flops.. you also bring in people like Pizzaro and Ballack at 5m and 7m a year respectovely…
And if Nani/Anderson had come to replace Giggs/Scholes, why the fuck have they not been able to even after 2 full seasons
No one can easily replace the likes of giggsy who at 36 became the Player of the year last season.. Or have you forgotten the drubbing that you received at our hands last season courtesy Giggsy… Consider our midfield: CR7 was a constant feature. So we had 3 empty spots. The people competing for them were: Scholes, Giggs, Carrick, Park, Fletcher, Anderson, Nani. One of these spots went to Scholes/Giggs coz we needed experience. So 5 players were competing for 2 spots and thus none of them got a constant run of games… How can two young players prove themselves if they haven’t had the run of games to improve their form? As i said earlier, they were brought for the future and if they don’t start performing after Giggs and Scholes leave, then you can brand them as flops…
nani s still improving and was certainly not a hit.if u take anderson u clearly need to gimme a reason as to why u are calling him a failure.if u were expecting a ronaldinho from him then thats a measure of ur immaturity.he is the edgar davids mould the ever busy midfield player who se forte is certainly not scoring goals but to pick out passes that other dont see and to keep the space given to the opposition to a minimum.nani s gonna have a good season and you will shut up once and for all.anyway talking about buying serbians do i need to remind you of your fans forgetting that you had ivanovic until recently.
@Venky
This proves u dont even know ur stuff. Pizzaro and Ballack were BOTH brought on free transfers. About youngsters, have u forgotten how we snatched Mikel from under ur noses? And surely u havent heard of Mancienne, Stoch, Kakuta et al… these are not expensive buys, but rather groomed from a very young age.
Again, Real Madrid are by far the biggest spenders this decade, and i can challenge u Chelsea is not the biggest spender in England this decade.
About Giggs, him getting player of the year was a farce really…i’m not doubting the player, but surely there were better performers last season. This was more like a lifetime achievement award. Oh, and that drubbing u refer to was not courtesy Giggsy but rather due to Scolari’s fucked up tactics and a low team morale..
So stop blabbering now
@Vishwa,
i know what Anderson’s role in the team is, but picking out passes which others don’t see?…anderson??…really????
he doesnt even tackle well, and hardly provides an attacking threat… so if thats not a flop from a 20m signing then what is? but i will agree he’s not as dire as nani
Oh, and about Ivanovic, its others who came to know of him at Anfield. We had seen his abilities in many cup matches and some sub appearances. Its only because of his competition that he doesnt get regular playing time. Else, he could walk into any other PL side.
key rock.. from your comments i can see that u haven’t seen much of anderson or united in action at all…. and you are basing your arguements on something you’ve read..It is all so easy for you to pin the blame on thw guy who got subbed in champ lg final isn’t it??.. Anderson as the passing ablity and maturity beyond his age… it was there to see in all matches including the champ lg demolition of arsenal…Did you not see the tevez united goal @ anfield??(anderson put berba throught with a majestic flick) i still remember him putting ronaldo through with a 40 diagonal yard ball on his utd debut… beleive me anderson is comparable to edgar davids(as vishwa says) on combativeness(ask gerrard, fabregas) as well as passing ability…
Though i have had differences about utd midfield in the past , I concur with aswin on the anderson part.. The guy does pick up his passes and has shown enough glimpses of vision that l s becoming of an excellent midfielder. Nani however despite his pace, dribbling, thunderous strikes notwithstanding still has plenty to improve in his game esp in ball possession nd defending..the absence of CR7 is clearly felt esp in counter attack, where Nani s found wanting.
My dear friend Keyrock,
I KNOW that Ballack and Pizzaro were brought on free transfers.. This is what i said:
you also bring in people like Pizzaro and Ballack at 5m and 7m a year respectovely..
I was referring to their wages here… Btw dude, how many players do you have on more than 120k a week?… I can think of a few too many 30 year olds who’ll earn this amount even past their prime and you’ll once again need to pay them off to get them off the wage bill… Any sensible footie fan knows that it is a club’s wage bill that will prove to be a stumbling block in the long run… A transfer fee is just an one off payment… At united, only two players earn 110k a week and thats our highest… While chelsea on the other hand are living beyond your means… Don’t forget that you have an old team and you’ll once again need to splash money to rebuild and i’m not sure that Ab’i am a’bitch will foot the bills this time around….
Your net spending year on year..
2009- 14m
2008- – 27m(profit of 25m)
2007- 24m
2006- -3m(profit of 3m)
2005- 92m
2004- 48m
2003- 154m
2002- -1m(profit of 1m)
2001- 9m
Net spend this decade- 310m and i have not even included your wage bills here or the 40m deals that you hand out to your players…
Now kindly provide stats for another english team that has spent more than you… I challenge you…
@keyrock : This incidentally s also the 100th post. So Well done guys.
Good work lads…
@Keyrock
Youngsters…Chelsea…u must be freaking kidding…..
Last year u signed that Miniero (36yr old brazilian who barely kicked a ball for chelsea) chap on a free tansfer when u had an injury crisis, cause no body from ur reserve or youth setup was even good enough to step up to the bench
Stoch, Kakuta??? Clutching at straws there aren’t we. And even assuming that they are half decent, how much game time do they get, they don’t even play in the bloody carling cup.
The only youngster of any decent repute u have is Daniel Sturridge, and based on chelsea’s record with young strikers, his future doesn’t look very bright
And as far as spending on the transfers goes, Chelsea spent money like water in the abrahmovich era, and fergie (despite my complete hatred for him) is a man who knows how to spend his money, and its not how much u spent in the last 3 yrs (and even in that period u have paid 16 mil for Bosingwa, 13 for anelka, 11 for invanovic, so not exactly very thrifty, 17 for jerk-off) , but the fact that a bulk of Chelsea’s over 500 million spending has come in the past 6 years since the Russian mafia took over…thats inflationary spending
And chelsea have made more from player sales…hilarious
The only players u have made serious money on are Robben and Bridge, or are u by chance talking about the huge profit u made on Schevchenko
And lastly, wouldn’t be so proud of ‘knicking’ Mikel from under United noses. U paid ur biggest rivals 13 million for a player they didnt even own, and to keep his place in the team, u sold Lassana Diarra, a far far better player.
keyrock,
it is obvious that u dont know anything about anderson. For a start watch utd vs liverpool at anfield season before last where he won the man of the match for a start.and we ll work our way from there. And dude ur owner has done such a thing which can be used as an alternative definition for hypocrisy.and talking about mikel the money made from that deal was used to buy vidic and evra. Clearly whose had the last laugh is one of the most apparent things in this world.mind keeping your mouth closed about united.if u still decide to keep it open them how about a little debate on the effectiveness of the new law to make forest reserves in india free from any form of transportation?
Venky,
For a start, your figures are inaccurate, could you tell me the source please? Is the 154m in 2003 inclusive of the club’s buy-out price… coz we are referring only to transfers here.
Now, i’m not able to find that link again, but i read a report which listed spurs as having spent 301m in last 5yrs alone. Citeh have spent over 200m in 2 yrs… so now can u see Chelsea arent the biggest spenders? The big spending in the initial years was only to form the core of the team, after which there hasnt been any splurging out.
Harish,
In last 3yrs, by ur figures Chelsea spent around 57m. United spent 30m on Berba, 20m each on nani/ander, 17m on tosic/ljajic, plus ‘n’ number of undisclosed fees on youngsters poached from italy/brazil. And i’m not even counting this transfer windows spending, which was kind of forced due to ronaldo’s departure. So how exactly is this different from Chelsea’s spending…eh??
Again ,that 500m figure u throw around was not spent on transfers or wages alone. A major chunk of that went into the club’s infrastructure, training ground etc, and paying off debts.
And if Lass is so good, why did arsenal let him go?
Vishwa,
don’t point out 1 or 2 games to make ur point. answer a simple question. if anderson were so good, why does he not start regularly. and why do united fans crib about not having fletcher in CL finals when anderson was there?
Vishwa,
And if u want me to keep my mouth shut about united, then u and many others here would have to keep their mouths shut about Chelsea, and then we wouldn’t have this blog.
fletcher is an out and out defensive mid boss.and u need someone to cover ur back four.anderson is not an out and out defensive mid mind you.and if u make such non sensical points like chelsea used their brains in their transfers and accusing united of spending more than chelsea that makes people repeatedly say stfu.well the detailed break up has been given by venky have a look at that to know whos been doing the spending and that too all of a sudden. And if the same club is critical of others spending then thats the greatest example for hypocrisy boss.so atleast shut it when it comes to spending and everything.
You are pulling things from the air mate… Completely baseless…. And it makes me question when you’ve been around the block for a while coz any sensible footie fan knows that Chelsea spent trillions in transfers and they are miles ahead… And the stats that i provided are for the TRANSFERS ALONE and does not include the takeover or the infrastructure.. Heck, it does not even include the wages as i said.. There is the breakdown of the 154m you spent:
03/04- 154m
Paulo Ferreira 13.2m
Robben 12m
Cech 7m
Scott Parker 10m
Makelele 17m
Crespo 17m
Alexei smertin 3.5m
Mutu 16m
Joe Cole 6.5m
Veron 15m
Wayne Bridge 7m
Damien Duff 17m
Geremi 7m
Glen Johnson 6m
04/05 – 60m
Jarosik- 3m
Carvalho- 20m
Drogba- 24m
Tiago – 8m
Kezman – 5m
05/06 – 112m
Mikel 16m
Sahar – 3m
Shevchenko – 32m
Kalou – 8m
Essien 25m
SWP – 21m
Diarra 1m
Asier Del Horno 8m
And FYI, Spuds have spent 265m but their net spending in only 100m coz they’ve sold their players for a whopping 165m in the past 6 yeard… for eg. last year they spashed out around 75m in the transfer market, but they recouped 70m of that in player sales.. So i say again… Chelse are the HIGHEST SPENDERS in England this decade and anyone that says otherwiise doesn’t know his footie….
jarosik…..rotflmao
Chelsea have been banned from registering any new players for the next two transfer windows in a shock move by FIFA after being found guilty of inducing a French teenager to breach his contract with another club.

@ All ye Chelshits
Seems you’ve a lot more to smile about now

Gael Kakuta, wasn’t he one of those cheap youngsters Keyrock was referring to.
Not so cheap now huh????
