United’s midfield without Ronaldo is like last year’s Arsenal midfield without Ronaldo. Lots of potential, but pretty bloody impotent. (Though I still have my doubts about Carrick, Nani and Valencia. Oh wait that’s most of them. Scratch the potential part).
Arsenal’s current midfield, even without Cesc is pretty bloody awesome. Add to the party Tomas, Nasri and Theo and we got ourselves a TEAM.
Eduardo is not a diver. Emmanuel Eboué is. And he is disgraceful.
Abou Vassirikki Diaby is now Arsenal’s joint top scorer along with William Gallas at 3. Ole Bill however may not have scored with all the right parts, but at least he scored them at all the right ends.
While we’re at Diaby, he evidently gets constipated when he scores on own goal. He had the same look on his face as I, the time when I ate too much of those potatoes when he headed that one in beautifully, sadly past Almunia.
Diaby has vertigo and often loses all sense of direction and he seems to be taking lessons from Frank Sinclair to boot. However he still is a good player and he’s shown more intent, desire and commitment than the last 2 seasons combined. He’s not going to get shot any time soon.
Van Persie needs to sacrifice a thousand bulls at the altar of Osiris to get the ball at the back of the net (and not have the flag raised for offside afterward) or we need the game with the spuds to come quick so that we have Gomes on goal.
Dimitar Berbatov has only 2 modes. Stand and be Sublime or Run and be Binky the Clown. Yesterday he was on the latter.
Sky Sports 1 are a bunch of fucking cunts. Every time there was something even remotely resembling penalty was said, feed from Camera 9 went live. Camera 9 of course was trained exclusively on Eduardo. Sort of a Truman Show II or Big Brother Football.
Andrei Arshavin is like Rajnikanth. No injustice (referee messing up a penalty call) shall go unpunished. Difference is Rajnikanth uses his trusty pistol (much parodied) Andrei uses an AK47.
I (and all of us too I guess) can now see why Gallas is rated so highly by Le Boss. He has played stupendously over the past few games. And Tommy is equally bloody good. Our first choice central defensive pairing looks very solid.
Under ideal circumstances, this post would have been entitled ‘From Russia with Love’ and we could’ve had this ‘thing’ and gone through the entire James Bond series. Though I seriously wonder how we would’ve fit in ‘Casino Royale’. Oh well, the Duck would’ve found a way.
This Arsenal team was better than the United team for 75% of the game. Sad that 2 moments of loss of composure proved so costly.

Cup?? I dont see why the league is not possible, we have one of the deepest squads, and while injuries with arsenal is always a possibility, as long as they are rotating, we will always be able to beat any opposition in front of us….
And Man U proved that beating the big 4 is not a necessary criterion for winning the league
On a side note…the next match weekend should be one hell of a day, Man Utd vs Spurs and Ars vs Man City, if spuds and/or the Arabian Harem managed to win, u can bet the idiots in press will be calling them title contenders
