Adios, to the shortest-lived No. 7 in United’s history.
The question on everyone’s lips now is of course, who will Sir Alex buy? My answer is, it doesn’t matter. In spite of all the critics and all the boo-boys, this boy was special. I had this moment of Nirvana when I was on a long walk one day, and thought about people who can make you feel ‘as long as he’s there, we’re still in it’. Like Sachin against Australia in the Sharjah series. And all I could come up with for United, was CR7.
If United are a team of workers, CR was the revolter. Not everyone may like him, but he’s the one who brings change. He’s the sort of player you’d rather not play against, even if he’s not exactly setting the floor ablaze for you. Thankfully, he’s not in the same league. Now United will have to go through a period very similar to a mid-life crisis – realize that they’re past the age where they could do everything right, and enter an age where they can do fewer things and learn to do it right. Though I’m not convinced about people who go ‘United will finish 3rd or 4th at best now’. On what evidence? Arsenal and their ‘team in perennial waiting’? Or Chelski? And we all know what happens to Liverpool if Torres doesn’t play 5 weeks of the campaign.
This makes it very interesting indeed for Senor Carlos Tevez.

His antics apart, his contribution to the club is something that cannot be forgotten. A true footballing genius. CR7. Thanks for the memories…And without Ronaldo we still have it in us to do just about enough to win the league.
In ALEX we trust.
hehe nice one….But United will regroup…they always have…
As for Tevez , I’d say go ahead and sell him. Get more cash and then splurge like never before….best thing to do…
Good Riddance.
There is no doubt that he will be missed and that United might not be all that great next season.
There is no one in the team right now who makes you go “How the hell does he do that!” Ronaldo could do that irrespective of his other shortcomings on and off the field.
That said, it is not as if this move was unexpected.
Shut up, Sample. Fingers crossed Tevez stays.
Compared to the previous 2 seasons , he was not upto the mark this time. cept the last few matches. you could almost see, he wanted to leave. Not like Tevez here. He wants to leave, yet he plays like he has to fight for his place in the team.
