In case you’re wondering what ray of hope I am referring to, Mikael Silvestré has suffered back spasms and is 50:50 for Wednesday. At his age when you expect him to fall dead from a coronary any second a back spasm should hopefully keep him for a couple of months. Fergie who was at the match must have gone redder than usual seeing his carefully laid plans go waste. Wenger should’ve continued playing Silvestré in the second half I feel, so as to ensure that his entire back fell off and there’d just be a cunty face attached to a backside and you couldn’t tell the difference between the two. Then again, you cannot have everything in life. Djourou got in some valuable playing time and should start alongside Touré (10 fingers and toes crossed). Clichy II is sure to start as well though I have doubts about Sagna seeing as he missed the game yesterday. Right back is undoubtedly Eboue’s best position as he’s shit as a winger though I still prefer the braided Frenchman who should start if he’s fit and confident again.
Right, so we dispatched Boro off pretty comfortably in the end. Wasn’t the 7-0 we handed out to them at Highbury a few years back but was a pretty satisfying performance. Captain Fantastic scored the two fabulous goals, the first one in particular a brilliant piece of play. Nicklas of all people started it off with a clever pass before Cesc and Arshavin played a 1-2 over 50 yards. Utterly delicious one touch passing. The finish was brilliant too with Cesc absolutely rifling it home into the corner. There were appeals for Offside and maybe Nicklas was obstructing the view of the ‘keeper but I get the feeling there was absolutely squat Jones could’ve done about it even if he had spotted the trajectory, flight and path of the ball utterly cleanly. The second goal was a thing of beauty as well. A 30 yard defense splitting through ball from Eboue of all people saw Cesc round an on-rushing Jones (who had an F.A Cup Fabianski moment) and slot home from a pretty tight angle. That was pretty much game, set and match as this was a Boro side that has the dubious record of being the team that has scored the least number of goals in all 4 English divisions. It was clearly a pretty hot day and a visibly tiring Cesc and Theo were subbed off immediately after with Wednesday’s big game in mind. On came Adebayor and Diaby the former of the two being certain to start against United.
It took Boro nearly the entire of the First Half before they took a shot on goal, and a returning Almunia was well up to the task diving and stopping Stewart Downing’s low skidder expertly. He also showed Fabianski how to defend a one on one by waiting till the last possible moment to rush out against Aliadieré who nearly scored against us again. Clearly Almunia inspires a lot more confidence than the Pole and he should be making a few key saves against United on Wednesday.
Le Boss was pretty pleased with the outcome as expected:
“It was an entertaining game and after 2-0 you could see that Maybe the Champions League started to surface a little bit. Overall it was a very good game against a Middlesbrough team who played in a very positive way. We dominated it and we made some brilliant passing today, some brilliant combinations. The first goal was absolutely outstanding and you could see that the team enjoys the way we play and loved the game.”
In other news those lying bastards Hull have finally coerced the F.A into charging Cesc. I suppose Phil Brown is over the moon and is drowning in self congratulations. The wanker. I hope he realizes he is in bigger trouble than ‘hoodlum’ Cesc who faces what is essentially a ‘my word against yours’ case whereas the headphones wearing prick basically perjured himself and cussed the referee on national television. Hope Hull gets relegated and he loses his job, and his wife and kids leave him.
United on Wednesday. BIG game. A chance for the boys to show what exactly they are made of really. For all the disappointments of this season we now have a chance to redeem ourselves. We have had an incredibly huge history of bad blood with the mancs. Martin Keown dishing it out to Van Nistelrooy, Paddy Vieira going one on one with Roy Keane – Incredible memories and events. Things aren’t as volatile now as they were with the sides missing the fiery personalities who needed no provocation to get into a melee. Indeed even the two managers have toned down with no pre game taunts or mind games being played around.
So maybe this is the perfect setting to re-start what was put on hold with the arrival of Mourinho and Benitez? Surely the Champions League is a big enough prize for Cesc (no puppy dog himself) to do a Vieira and pick a fight with say Wayne Rooney? Or for Nasri to dish it out to Ronaldo? Things were better half a decade ago than they are now. We really ought to make a trip down memory lane.

Phew. That was some rant. Trophyless seasons hurt that bad, eh?
Well, I don’t see Fabregas or Nasri picking fights with anyone. That’s not their style! Fabregas is much too smart to pick a fight with someone much stronger than him and Nasri is way too much of an amateur to pick a fight with the best player in the world. Rooney is quite capable of punching Fabregas’ nose in (if that is Le Boss’s plan to get Rooney a red card, then yes, credit to Fabregas and Arsie!) For fights, you need some firebrand personalities, and I’m sorry but someone is yet to step into Patrick Viera’s shoes!
Arsene Wenger is not an idiot to transfer Silvestre. Wenger barely makes bad decisions when it comes to transfers, so probably Silvestre is a smart choice. Besides, Silvestre has won more silverware than most of your team put together, so some respect to the man.
Kedar macha, Rooney doesn’t need to fight Cesc to get sent off da. He gets himself sent off by chucking balls at the ref direct. And Cesc is as firebrand as they come dude. He’s got no qualms picking a fight with anyone. And he can take anyone on in your medium cunty side anyday.
And dude, don’t throw away all your respect by making statements amounting to Silvestre is a good player. He BLOWS.
And how is this a rant dude???
“Well, I don’t see Fabregas or Nasri picking fights with anyone. That’s not their style! ”

Cashley, Ballack and the pizza thrown at Fergie?

“Nasri is way too much of an amateur to pick a fight with the best player in the world. ”

He was amateur enough to clobber your strongest team at Emirates for sure! And to pick a fight with the best player in the world, he’ll have to wait for Rome.
However, I wonder what Ronaldo will do if someone does a Keown or a Vieira to him. Burst out of the pitch crying, perhaps, before asking the ref for more protection, may be.
Well, he will do exactly what Fabregas would do if Keane did a number on him. Remember how he made Viera shit bricks in the tunnel. No wonder they lost 2-4. Wasn’t that at Highbury?
I think Arsene Wenger is in on this with Fergie. Surely! I mean, Fergie can’t pull off a Silvestre stunt all on his own. I think he is paying Wenger something just to put Silvestre out there. In fact, I think Adebayor is on Fergie’s payroll too, considering how many goals he misses. And surely that goalkeeper, who lets in more than he saves! I’m sure if we dig deep enough, we’d find a conspiracy there too. Maybe, the backroom staff, Sagna, Eduardo and Rosicky (they never seem to play!), etc. Everyone, except for Maddy (and maybe SDK)!
Thank God Arsenal has supporters like you, who can sniff out all of Fergie’s dirty tricks. You should manage Arsenal. You really seem to be the only one who is not a Fergie puppet. Maybe under your astute guidance, Arsenal will return to their glory-days when they won the FA Cup occasionally
@SDK : It’s a league da. It’s over 38 games. That’s the problem with Arsenal (except for Maddy, the best manager-not-to-manage Arsenal). You guys win one game against us and you believe it’s a successful season. We play the league. If you still don’t understand, I’d suggest you look at the table. You could even check last years, or the one before that. Hopefully, it will make sense to you.
Nobody calls this season successful! The only way this will be called successful if we win the UCL.
You call Nasri an amateur. I merely point out what the amateur did to your team a few months back. And you all of a sudden assume that gooners consider this season a success because we beat you (From where did you get that?) and start pointing towards the table.
I know where you are and you were at the table. But, it’s about time you show some respect for players who did your world champion defense in not too long back.`
To clear things, every gooner is unhappy because we have not won the trophies you did and because we are fourth. Also, this season would be counted as failure unless we win the UCL..
You said that Nasri is too much of an amateur to ….blah blah.
I simply reminded you what the ‘amateur’ did to you.
And your retort is is that United are going to win the Premier League.
And what’s worse, you say that the Arsenal fans are satisfied and believe it is a successful season just because we beat you! How you landed upon this conclusion and how you this is a justification of your calling the player who scored two goals against you amateur is beyond me!
No no, i can understand league. May be a little while back but i can surely remember 03-04 when we went unbeaten throughout. Wenger is doing a good enough job da. He doesn’t need me really.
And Vieira shit bricks?? Please dude. He wasn’t Gary Neville who went crying like a baby bitch to Keane because Paddy Vieira bullied him.
The only people who are on Fergie’s payrolls are the referees macha. Rafa even though he is a dick got some of it right in his rant. Though i sincerely hope you realised i was kidding about the fergie conspiracy and was referring to my nightmare mentioned in earlier posts.
Wenger is a transfer market GOD. but he made a BAD mistake picking Silvestre. I stand by that statement.
The gunners are definitely gonna have a tough time at Old toilet. but I do hope they scrape home a win. Its hard to say whether this season counts as a success or not. no one in arsenals XI regard this season as a success unless they win a trophy ! CL is difficult to win and we are definitely the black horse in this race. But I think that will suit arsenal just fine !
Old Toilet ….lolz… good one color sensor…
The only person who i think is gonna be involved in a fight would be Paul Scholes and that with someone who is going to be a victim of his very mistimed challenge. And Ronaldo and Rooney fighting with Nasri and Fabregas. I dont see that happening.
For people reminding us of Nasri s heroics, i would like to remind them of Darren Fletcher’s brace not very long ago.
Agreed that it’s very unlikely we’re going to see a fight. All i said was that it would be awesome if there would be a fight and there are enough characters who are fight-worthy.
